Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 95,149-square-foot, six-story above grade, 110-unit, 107-space multi-residential development; day care center; and retail development.
The Verdier Affordable Housing Development is a proposed development of a 4,031.25 m2 (43,392 square feet (sf)) site at 1183 Verdier Avenue, Central Saanich, BC. The existing site consists of a commercial strip mall (zoned as CD-3: Brentwood Bay Shopping Centre) with several specialty retail stores including a hair salon, café, cannabis dispensary and a dollar store. Through the development, all the existing structures will be demolished. In addition, a daycare is planned in an approximatively 2,000 sf commercial space located on the main level, with access to an enclosed outdoor play area. The total estimated residential and commercial Gross Floor Area (GFA) is 8,839.6 m2 (95,149 sf). TIMELINE: All major trades are secured.
