The 10-mile Capitol/I-10 West light rail extension will connect with the existing Valley Metro Rail system in downtown Phoenix, to the 79th Avenue Park-and-Ride. More scope details and final costs to be announced at a future date. As of November 11, 2025, the project is part of the Valley Metro Fiscal Year 2026 Rail Operating and Capital Budget. Information regarding engineer and architect have not been disclosed.
