Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fort Worth, Texas. Conceptual plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

As of July 8 , 2025, Project Still in Same Status https://www.spartnerships.com/newsletter/2025/tgi-01-17-2025/texas-government-insider-01-17-2025.html Fort Worth to reconstruct, reopen courthouse-adjacent parks with $50 million investment The city of Fort Worth will spend $50 million to revitalize two historic parks, tackling upgrades needed to reopen them to the public. Currently in the design phase, Fort Worth anticipates starting construction in 2026. Notably, the Heritage Park Plaza has been closed since 2007 due to safety reasons. However, with the Heritage and Paddock Park Project moving forward, Fort Worth will reconstruct the plaza and make it fit for the public once again. The plaza reconstruction will be accompanied by several other park features improvements, making Paddock Park more presentable as a public space. The city will reconfigure the park to incorporate the bailout lane and concrete triangle to the north, increasing the area’s square footage. In addition to extensive landscaping and grading, the city will install a waterfall and shallow pool. Plans include building the forecourt and promenade to improve sightlines and create a more welcoming entrance. The city will improve the court’s landscape and hardscape features, incorporating additional lighting and softer materials. In addition, the promenade will provide a pedestrian extension with shading and space for events. The design layout features a new viewing balcony, a public space providing vistas of the Fort Worth skyline with accompanying lighting, electricity and event production features. The city will also build the foyer to provide seating and a performance area and the lantern at the top of the bluff. The Lantern will include a concrete vault containing electrical equipment and cables. Visitors will be able to enjoy the canopy walk, an elevated walkway connected to the balcony that descends the bluff. Other transit paths include sets of river stairs, doubling as a riverfront amphitheater. To accommodate non-motorized travelers, the Heritage and Paddock Park project will invest in building plenty of shared-use pathway connections. These will include pedestrian and bicycle paths as well as ADA-accessible walkways. The city will also enhance the pedestrian connections along the four corners of the courthouse and improve street signalization. --------------------- https://www.star-telegram.com/news/local/fort-worth/article289247355.htmltbref=hp This mock-up shows part of what project leaders propose for a renovation of Heritage and Paddock parks near downtown.
