Renovation of a fire / police facility in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
*As of May 20, 2021, a design-build team has been awarded. Houston Police Department will relocate approximately 135 personnel from an offsite location to 1200 Travis. The scope of this project will include the renovation of approximately 26,000 sf at 1200 Travis. Project will consist of the design and construction for approximately 19,000 sf on Level 26, approximately 5,000 sf on level 24, and approximately 1,000 sf on Level 12. Construction will include all demolition required, new finishes, furniture replacement, MEP systems to accommodate the renovation, test and balancing of MEP equipment as well and upgrades to the Information Technology systems and supporting equipment rooms. Phasing and moving services should be included as necessary to accommodate the renovation. The facility will remain occupied during construction. All construction will need to be compliant with all jurisdictional requirements. This bid is subject to "Hire Houston First" as set out in Chapter 15, Article Xl, City Code. It is unlawful for any Contractor to contribute or offer any contribution to a candidate for City elective office during a certain period prior to and following a contract award. (Chapter 18, City Code). Contractor will be required to comply with Anti-discrimination provisions (Chapter 15, Article'', City Code), Pay or Play Program (Executive Order 1-7 and Ordinance 2007-0534), and the Minority, Women, Persons with Disabilities and Small Business Enterprise requirements (Chapter 15, Articles V and VI, City Code and Executive Order 1-2).
