Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Saint Joseph, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; and for the construction of a bridge / tunnel.

The Work generally consists of demolition; clearing and grubbing; excavation; borrow; grading; pipework; bridge work; asphalt; concrete work; seeding and mulching; and all appurtenant work as indicated on the drawing and as specified. Bid will be received on a unit price basis. Bid security in the amount of Five Percent (5%) of the total Bid must accompany each Bid. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Maintenance Bond and a Payment Bond on the forms set forth in the Contract Documents as security for the faithful performance of, and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of, the Contract. Bidders on this Work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order Number 11246. Requirements for Bidders and contractors under this order are explained in the Specifications. No Bid may be withdrawn within a period of Ninety (90) days after the date fixed for opening Bids. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including, without limitation, the right to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids, and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if the City believes that it would not be in the best interest of the City to make an award to that Bidder. The City also reserves the right to waive informalities.
