The scope of work includes the installation of acoustical panels on the walls and to the beams at the ceiling; lowering existing light fixtures and other equipment as necessary to install the acoustical panels and audio-visual equipment; installing new audio-visual equipment and speakers. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a faithful performance bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, said bonds to be secured from a surety company acceptable to the Contra Costa Community College District and authorized to execute such surety in the State of California. Certificates of Liability Insurance with proper endorsements shall be required for the successful bidder. The contract time is 145 Calendar Days between the Notice to Proceed date and the Contract Substantial Completion date. Liquidated Damages shall be set for Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each Calendar Day the Work is delayed beyond the contract Substantial Completion date; and One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each Calendar Day Remaining Work is delayed beyond the Contract Final Completion Date.
