Bid security shall be a bond provided by a surety company authorized to do business in this state, or the equivalent in cash, or otherwise supplied in a form satisfactory to the city. Bid security shall be an amount equal to at least (5) percent of the amount of the bid To be eligible for consideration, each bidder must be legally licensed under the Laws of South Carolina and submitted bids must comply with all instructions outlined in the drawings and specifications as made on the forms provided in the specifications. Subcontractors and material suppliers are advised that the award of this contract for this project will be based on price, responsiveness, and qualifications and not just price alone.
