The Project consists of: The replacement of windows at the 667-6 elderly development at the Gloucester Housing Authority. The base bid estimate is $300,132 with two alternates for $225,366. The work is estimated to cost $525,498. All Bids should be submitted online and received no later than the date and time specified above. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the Gloucester Housing Authority. General bidders must agree to contract with minority and women business enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), formerly known as SOMWBA. The combined participation benchmark reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than 10.4% of the final contract price including accepted alternates. Request for waivers must be sent to DHCD (David.McClave@mass.gov) 5 calendar days prior to the General Bid date if the work is estimated to cost less than $500,000 OR 10 calendar days prior to the General Bid date if the work is estimated to cost $500,000 or more - NO WAIVERS WILL BE GRANTED AFTER THE BID DATE. See Contract The Contractor shall provide the Owner with performance and payment (labor and materials) bonds in the form provided by the Department, (Forms 00.61.13.13 and 00.61.13.16) executed by a surety licensed by the Commonwealth's Division of Insurance. Each such bond shall be in the amount of the Contract Sum
