Renovation of a water / sewer project in Kemp, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Improvements to the Intake Pump Station, including replacement of two pumps, replacement of existing piping and valves, and structural rehabilitation and electrical improvements. Improvements to the Raw Water Pump Station, including replacement of one pump and structural rehabilitation. Improvements to the Water Treatment Plant, including rehabilitation of the existing Solids Contact Clarifier (SCC); replacement of two existing package treatment units; rehabilitation of an existing clearwell; modifications to abandon the second existing clearwell; construction of new Treatment Building with ventilation, laboratory, sewage holding tank, and office; and High-Service Pump Station improvements, including replacement of the pumps and discharge valves, and replacement of the existing pump station building. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The deadline to ask questions is 7/25/2020 12:00:00 AM CST As of September 21, 2020, the bids came in over budget and Owner is in negotiations with the low bidder. Award possible in a few weeks. Construction start is still targeted for late October if an agreement can be reached.
