Renovation of a transportation facility in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
New Jersey Transit Corporation (NJ TRANSIT) is requesting proposals from qualified Consulting firms to provide Construction Management Services for the Perth Amboy Accessibility Improvements Project The Perth Amboy Station Accessibility Improvements Project will be performed in Middlesex County, New Jersey. The purpose of this Project is to construct improvements to the historic Perth Amboy Railroad Station so that the station complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Accessibility boarding will be achieved primarily through the construction of two new side high-level platforms. The proposed plan will utilize the existing historic pedestrian bridge and require the construction of stairs, ramps, and four new elevators to access the new high-level platforms. The plan also includes the upgrade of the Men's and Women's Rest Rooms in the Eastbound Station Building to provide for ADA compliance. For access information, please contact Jean M.
