Replacement of the existing chiller at the Lamar Dixon facility. The contractor for the below list of activities shall provide all labor, equipment, materials and documentation required to complete and document these work activities. Demolition Removal, Installation and Site Clean Up will be the contractor's responsibility. Purchase and Install 90 Ton Dakin, Trane or York only Air Cooled Multi Stage Scroll Chiller. Chiller will be R-410-A compatible with new EPA Refrigerant laws. Chiller will include Aluminum Fin Condenser Coils. Chiller will be equipped with Micro Tech controls with Micro Tech III controller. Chiller will be equipped with across the line starter with Single Point Disconnect Switch and Circuit Breakers. Chiller will have a 1st year parts, labor and refrigerant warranty for entire unit, including the compressor or better. The Chiller will have a 2nd thru 5th year parts only warranty for entire unit or better. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the bidder, his / her address, contractors state license number and the name of the project for which the bid is submitted. For each contract in excess of twenty-five thousand dollars per project, the public entity shall require of the contractor a bond with good, solvent, and sufficient surety in a sum of not less than fifty percent of the contract price for the payment by the contractor or subcontractor to claimants as defined in R.S. 38:2242. Ascension Parish Government requires a one-hundred percent performance bond for all public works contracts. Public Works projects over $50,000.00 require the use of state licensed contractors and subcontractors. R.S. 37:2150.1. Ascension Parish Government requires a Contractor's License for "all" Commercial Permits. Ascension Parish Government requires an Exhibit A form on file from "all" public works project vendors. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid must accompany each Bid, and shall be made payable to the Owner. The Parish of Ascension reserves the right to disqualify any Bid, response to a Request for Qualifications, or Request for Proposals if it is determined that the submitting business entity is not in good standing with the Louisiana Secretary of State or is not authorized to do business in the State of Louisiana. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. RS 38:2218. Evidence of good faith; countersigning to address the above requirement for electronic bids Ascension Parish Government will allow electronic bids submitted via the parish approved on-line bid site to be submitted as follows: A. A copy of the bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check, must be attached to bid document submitted electronically B. All submitted questions will be forwarded by email to the Project Manager and the Project Architect for a response. All questions regarding this project and the bid package shall be submitted to the Purchasing Department via purchasing@apgov.us by 4:00 pm on Thursday July 16, 2020. Responses will be coordinated with the project manager and posted by Tuesday, July 21 2020 @ 4:00 pm. The Parish of Ascension reserves the right to disqualify any Bid, response to a Request for Qualifications, or Request for Proposals if it is determined that the submitting business entity is not in good standing with the Louisiana Secretary of State or is not authorized to do business in the State of Louisiana.
