The Project is expected to be awarded early May** This project provides for the modification of the intersections on California Boulevard and the I-710 Southbound off ramp in order to provide dual southbound left turn movements and modifications of the intersection on California Boulevard and Pasadena Avenue in order to provide a dual right turn movements. In order to provide these improvements the roadway will require new striping and reconfiguring of the lanes. Other work will include resurfacing a portion of California Blvd. to accommodate roadway striping changes; widening sidewalk along the northerly limits of California Boulevard between St John Avenue and Pasadena Avenue; and modifying traffic signals and associated hardware at the intersection of Pasadena Ave. and St John Avenue along California Boulevard. Traffic circulation at the intersections of St. John Ave. at California Blvd. and Pasadena Ave. at California Blvd. are experiencing motorist and pedestrian delay due the existing lane configuration approaching the two intersections. This project allows for the modification of the lane configuration in order to reduce delay, while enhancing pedestrian and motorist safety.
