Contract A - Sanitary Sewer and Pump Station: 4,500 lineal feet of 8 gravity sewer, manholes, and appurtenances to serve an unsewered community and associated pump station and 8,900 lineal feet of 4 force main. Each bid must be accompanied by either a bid bond in an amount of 100% of the bid amount with a surety satisfactory to the aforesaid Sandusky County Commissioners or by certified check, cashiers check, or letter of credit upon a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the bid amount in favor of the afore said Sandusky County Commissioners. Bid Bonds shall be accompanied by Proof of Authority of the official or agent signing the bond. Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis-Bacon Wages, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price. The successful bidder will be required to pay not less than the highest applicable minimum wage rates as established by the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of Ohio and the federal Davis-Bacon Wage Determinations issued by the U.S. Department of Labor. No bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Sandusky County Commissioners reserve the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. This project is being partially funded with Federal CDBG and DEFA Water Pollution Control Loan Fund monies. The opinion of probable cost of construction for this project is $1,534,000 for Contract A and 800,000 for Contract B. This procurement is subject to the EPA policy of encouraging the participation of small businesses in rural areas (SBRAs).
