The City of Tracy is seeking a qualified structural consulting firm or team, to provide professional services for preparing bid documents and design support during bidding and construction for the Police Gun Range Facility. The intent is to design a steel building structure including foundation plans, mezzanine level offices, steel catwalk, HVAC systems and provide electrical load requirements with the following characteristics as shown in the conceptual plans : 1.1. Overall Dimensions 48 feet x60 feet , (1) 8 feet x 48 feet x10.75 feet Awning on north side and (2) 3 feet x4 feet door canopies. 1.2. Minimum Eave Height 24 feet with 2:12 roof pitch 1.3. (2) 12 feet x14 feet commercial steel slat overhead doors. 1.4. (4) roof level exhaust fans (6000 cfm) with dampers and roof curbs. 1.5. Roof able to support a 20kW solar system and interior lighting. 1.6. Interior walls to be cold formed studs and sheetrocked to 10 feet -0 inch in elevation along perimeter. Tapered columns can be exposed. All office areas to be sheetrocked with mezzanine offices on mezzanine level to have drop tile ceilings at 9 feet -0 inch above floor level. Lower level office ceilings can be open to bottom of mezzanine structure. 1.7. Standard gutters and downspouts 1.8. All windows to have Low energy glass. Minimize number of windows in non-office areas. 1.9. Entry doors: (3) 3 feet x7 feet and (1) 6 feet x7 feet with Best locksets and mortice lever hardware 1.10. HVAC System to be separated to return office air to open areas but not return open areas into office areas. 1.11. Electrical system to support HVAC, interior LED lighting, exterior lighting at doorways and under north awning, two 240 volt outlets, office spaces and audio visual equipment. 1.12. Staircases: (1) exterior steel stair case to external door to access catwalk (1) internal staircase from ground to mezzanine level. 1.13. Mezzanine (apx 600 sqft) 11 feet -0 inch Above finish floor with 3 rail hand rails and with latched gates to access roof supported catwalk, and unfinished resindek (or equal) flooring. Mezzanine to support lights for offices underneath. 1.14. Interior expanded metal catwalk (apx 100 LF) supported by roof beams capable to support 75lb/sqft with 3 rail hand rails and unfinished resindek (or equal) flooring All design to conform with the California Code of Regulations T24, City of Tracy Standards and all State and Federal Laws and Regulations. All responsive proposals shall be reviewed and evaluated by the City in order to determine which proposer best meets the Citys needs for this Project by demonstrating the competence and professional qualifications necessary for the satisfactory performance of the required services. The criteria by which the City shall evaluate Proposals are set forth in the Request for Proposals. The City reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals or waive any irregularities in any Proposal, this request for proposals (RFP) or the proposal process.
