Renovation of a water / sewer project in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

These Bids require compliance with Office of Economic Opportunity Participation. No quotes will be accepted unless a Questionnaire and Financial Statement for Qualified Sellers with all questions fully answered is filed on or before Thursday, April 7, 2022. In lieu of pre-bid meetings, any questions should be e-mailed to Alexander.Fidrych@phila.gov by Friday, April 1, 2022. (Est. $4,000,000 to $5,000,000) *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The work of this Contract includes: 1. Modifications to the carbon feed receiving piping, so that all four (4) carbon tanks can receive carbon from trucks. 2. Demolish existing carbon feed discharge header piping, valves and supports at the raw water basin intake structure. Install new header piping, valves and supports. 3. Replace two (2) existing radar level sensors and add two (2) new radar level sensors. Provide level displays on wall as indicated on Contract Drawings. 4. Replace four (4) existing carbon tank mixers. 5. Demolish two (2) existing dust collectors and piping. Install new dust collector (wet scrubber) with ductwork and drain piping. 6. Replace two (2) existing carbon feed pumps. 7. Replace one (1) existing carbon transfer pump. 8. Replacing pump suction flushing water system. 9. Replace piping gallery sump pump and piping. 10. Replace three (3) manual carbon tank make up water valves with motor actuated valves. Install one (1) additional motor actuated valve. 11. Install dedicated flowmeter for each carbon feed pump. 12. Relocate existing pressure reducing valve for easier access. 13. Replacing/new carbon feed and transfer piping, as shown on the Contract Drawings. 14. Replace piping gallery structural pipe supports. 15. Replacing lighting in the first floor and piping gallery. 16. New electrical wiring and conduits to new equipment. 17. Connect existing and new VFD outputs (faults and alarms) to existing DCS. 18. DCS programming and training performed by Emerson. 19. DCS hardware modification. 20. SCADA programming and training by Schneider Electric. 21. Pressure wash pipe gallery and first floor. 22. Level piping gallery floor and apply epoxy coating to floor and walls.
