Final Date for Inquires August 4, 2020 3:00 p.m. (local time, Phoenix, Arizona) Target Town Council Award Date: August 24, 2020 The project includes the removal of approximately 2,950 LF of existing deteriorating corrugated metal pipe storm drain, three (3) catch basins, six (6) concrete headwalls, five (5) side inlet storm drains, and the removal, salvage and replacement of two (2) fire hydrants, three (3) streetlights, riprap erosion protection, and various landscaping and plantings, and the removal and replacement of associated pavement, concrete curb and gutter, concrete vertical curb and concrete sidewalk and the protection in place of two (2) existing retaining walls possibly requiring shoring. The project includes the installation of approximately 2,970 LF of rubber gasketed reinforced concrete pipe (including both standard and radius pipe), three (3) City of Phoenix SD P1569 modified catch basins, seventeen (17) concrete storm drain manholes, six (6) concrete headwalls with safety rail and access barriers, and the replacement of two (2) fire hydrants, three (3) streetlights, associated pavement, concrete curb and gutter, concrete vertical curb and concrete sidewalk. Panorama Drive is expected to be open to traffic during construction unless approved by the Town Engineer. Due to concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Town of Fountain Hills reserves the right to cancel or modify the MANDATORY Pre-Submittal Conference and Interview process. All Vendors desiring to prepare a responsive Bid shall submit a non-revocable bid security payable to the Town in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total Bid Price. This security shall be in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check and must be in the possession of the Town Representative by the Bid Deadline. All bid security from Contractor(s) who have been issued a Notice of Award shall be held until the successful execution of all required Contract Documents and bonds. The Contractor shall be required to furnish non-revocable security binding the Contractor to provide faithful performance of this Contract in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total Contract Price payable to the Town. Performance security shall be in the form of a performance bond, certified check, cashier's check or irrevocable letter of credit. The Contractor shall be required to furnish non-revocable security for the protection of all persons supplying labor and material to the Contractor or any Subcontractor for the performance of any Work related to this Contract. Payment security shall be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total Contract Price and be payable to the Town. Payment security shall be in the form of a payment bond, certified check, cashier's check or irrevocable letter of credit. Liquidated Damages. It is expressly understood that should Contractor fail to complete the Work covered hereby within the Contract Time, the Contractor agrees to pay and shall pay to the Town upon request therefore for each Day of delay beyond the original or revised scheduled time of completion of Contractor's Work as liquidated damages, and not as a penalty, in the amount per Day as set forth in MAG Specifications for each Day of delay. Notwithstanding any other provision of this IFB, the Town expressly reserves the right to: (1) waive any immaterial defect or informality, (2) reject any or all Bids or portions thereof and (3) cancel or reissue an IFB.
