The City of Sedalia invites bids from contractors for the demolition and disposal/repair or replacement of sidewalks, and curb and/or gutter. The work consists of performing infrastructure improvements including: removal and disposal of existing uneven/broken sidewalk or damaged curb and gutter at each of the locations. Submitted bids should include a completed spreadsheet that provides the following information for each of the locations: 1. Recommended solution(s) (e.g., grinding, ramping, patching, replacement, etc.) 2. Total length of sidewalk requiring repair or replacement (in linear and square feet) 3. Total length of curb and/or gutter requiring repair or replacement (in linear and square feet) 4. Cost for sidewalk or curb and/or gutter demolition and disposal, and repair or replacement Completing the sidewalk, curb and gutter repair/replacement projects will necessitate coordinating schedules as needed with the City's Street Department who will be responsible for pruning trees, roots and/or removing trees/stumps adjacent to sidewalks. Depending on the total cost for the listed locations, the amount of available City funding, and the final scope of work to be negotiated between the successful bidder and the City, the final agreed upon scope may not be able to include all of the locations and/or all of the recommended work. All bidders are required to submit their bids on the printed forms contained in the IFB packet. Not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages, as set out in the wage order attached to and made part of the specification for work under the contract, shall be paid to all workers performing work under the awarded contract. A bidders bond for the amount of 5% of the total amount of the bid made payable to the City of Sedalia must accompany each proposal. The City of Sedalia in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and Regulations, hereby notifies all respondents to this request that bidders will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The City of Sedalia retains the right to reject any and all bids submitted, and to waive any minor irregularity contained in any bid.
