Any inquiries or suggestions, concerning interpretation, clarification, or additional information pertaining to the IFB shall be made through the Public Works Department in writing or through email to enations@cityofsedalia.com The scope of work for Well #15 includes pulling of the motor, the column tube and shaft along with the pump. Transportation, disassembling, inspection, and video logging the well to identify necessary maintenance or repairs. Contractor to provide City with a complete inspection report and cost analysis for any repairs/replacements needed on the column tube and shaft, bowls, suction screen, bearings and stuffing box. Upon City's written approval of cost analysis and issuance of Purchase Order, Contractor shall make necessary repairs, transport to site and reinstall pump setting (i.e., column, shafts, motor, new pump, etc.) including two (2) 1/4 "air lines and gauge capable of providing 150 psi to test draw down. Reinstalled pumping assembly shall be tested by Contractor to ensure that it is leak-free and providing the designed discharge flow. Each bid must be accompanied by (i) an acceptable certified check or cashier's check payable to the City of Sedalia or (ii) a bid bond issued by a surety authorized to transact business in Missouri and acceptable to the City of Sedalia in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid, not to exceed $20,000 as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract with the City if awarded the contract by the Sedalia City Council. Coincident with the execution of the contract, the Contractor shall furnish a good and sufficient surety bond(s) in the full amount (100%) of the contract sum, guaranteeing the faithful performance of all the covenants, stipulations and agreements of the contract, the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the execution of the contract, which bills or obligations might or will in any manner become a claim against the City and guaranteeing the work included in this Contract against faulty materials or poor workmanship. The City is requesting completion of the project within 60 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Note: As a result of the outbreak of the disease COVID-19 arising from the Novel Coronavirus, temporary delays in delivery, labor or services may occur. Notification of such delay shall be promptly conveyed to the City should such a delay occur. Time is of the essence. If deliveries or completion times are not made at the time as specified in the Contractor's bid, the City reserves the right to cancel or to have the product, material or service provided outside of this contract when it is in the best interest of the City.
