Site work for a water / sewer project in Freeport, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work consists of replacement of approximately 2,100 linear feet of 8" c.l.d.i. water main and the temporary restoration of the disturbed pavement. Each bid must be accompanied by a bidder's bond in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the bid insuring to the benefit of the Village of Freeport, or a certified check of not less than five (5%) percent of the bid, made payable to the Village of Freeport, to assure the entering of the successful bidder into a acceptable contract. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, and Labor and Material Bond in the statutory form. Bids which, in the opinion of the Board, are unbalanced shall be rejected. In submitting a bid, bidders agree not to withdraw their bid within forty five (45) days after the date for the opening thereof. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals received and subject to these reservations, shall award the contract to the lowest qualified and responsible bidder.
