ERASWCD seeks qualified contractors to conduct mechanical removal of undesirable trees and shrubs for the purpose of reducing fuel load for wildfire protection and watershed health. This will primarily consist of mechanical mastication stands of mixed conifers and aspen but may include other species as well. A total of 10 sites will be treated as specified in Job sheets Forest Stand Improvement (666) and Woody Residue Treatment (384). The Contractor shall furnish all personnel, facilities, equipment (including rented equipment), materials, supplies, and services and otherwise do all things necessary for the satisfactory performance of this contract. The Contractor(s) is responsible for providing a performance bond, as required by the East Rio Arriba Soil and Water Conservation District, for any project where the Contractor receives more than $50,000.00 for services. Prior to issuance of a contract order, the successful awarded contractor must provide a performance bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Mexico equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract order. The contractor must provide the Agency with a copy of the bond no later than ten (10) days prior to start of the Work. The East Rio Arriba Soil and Water Conservation District Procurement Manager or his/her designee reserves the right to accept and/or reject any and all bids, to waive technical irregularities, and to award to the Bidder whose bid is deemed to be in the best interest of the East Rio Arriba Soil and Water Conservation District.
