The project includes removing, salvaging, and re-installing existing traffic signal components, installing new traffic signal equipment procured by Outagamie County, as well as installation of conduit, wire, concrete bases, traffic signal controller and controller bases, pedestrian signals, and all other items necessary to complete the work shown on the plans. The project will be constructed at two separate signalized intersections along CTH N. Proposal shall be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in the amount of not less than 10 percent of the total bid amount, payable to Outagamie County as guarantee that the bidder, if the bid is accepted, will execute and file the Contract. The Certified Check is returnable to the bidder immediately after the signing of the Contract. A Performance Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the total bid price, a Certificate of Insurance, together with an executed contract, will be required of the successful bidder. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. All responsive bidders shall be pre-qualified by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to perform the work in the bid or request prequalification a minimum of five (5) days prior to the bid being submitted. Liquidated damages will be charged in accordance with the Standard Specifications for all calendar days accrued beyond the completion dates specified in the Prosecution and Progress section. The CONTRACTOR will complete the work required by the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS no later than 12:01 P.M. on Friday, August 28, 2020 for the CTH N & KK Intersection and no later than 12:01 A.M. on Saturday, October 3, 2020 for the CTH N & Wallace Street Intersection unless extended otherwise by the OWNER and ENGINEER.
