As of April 22, Appleton DPW has decided to reject all L-21 bids due to bidding anomalies. We plan to rebid the project soon. Project Unit L-21 Sewer & Water Construction - Lightning Drive And Edgewood Drive includes 3800 LF 8IN-16IN Water Main (Open Cut), 262 LF 12IN Water Main (Microtunnel in 24IN Casing), 21 EA 6IN-16IN Water Valves, 1,380 LF 10IN-15IN Sanitary Sewer (Open Cut), 266 LF 15IN Sanitary Sewer (Microtunnel in 30IN Casing), 20 LF 24IN Storm Sewer CMP Culvert, 95 VF Sanitary Maintenance Holes, 7 EA Maintenance Hole Castings (Sanitary). Registering as a plan holder is recommended for all prime contractors and subcontractors as plan holders will receive addenda and other contract document updates. No bid will be opened unless the "Bidders Proof of Responsibility" for 2021 is filed in the office of the City Clerk not later than April 14, 2021. Forms are included in specifications and are also available at the office of the City Clerk. Reference is made to Section 66.0901 Wisconsin Statutes. No bid shall be received unless accompanied by a bid bond (uploaded electronically during bid process) equal to five percent of the bid, payable to the City as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 10 days from the date the lowest responsible bidder's bid is accepted. If the bidder fails to file such contract and bond within the time set by the City, the bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept any bid deemed for the best interests of the City and to waive any informalities in the bidding.
