Site work for a water / sewer project in Appleton, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Spillway rehabilitation and clearing and grubbing with tree removal in a stormwater storage basin at 1803 N Bluemound Drive in the Town of Grand Chute, Outagamie County, Wisconsin. The rehabilitation of the spillway includes removing existing panels of concrete at the base of the spillway, concrete slab subgrade preparation, forming a cutoff trench, pumping/pouring approximately 60 CY of Controlled Low Strength Material (CLSM) or lean concrete to fill the cutoff trench and the void space below the spillway to concrete subgrade, replacing the concrete panels, coring panel ports in the remaining panels, and pumping CLSM or lean concrete to fill the void space underneath the panels. The clearing and grubbing with tree removal is in the stormwater storage basin at the base of the spillway. All Bidders shall Bid in accordance with and upon the Bid Forms included in the Contract Documents. No Bid shall be received unless accompanied by a Certified Check or satisfactory Bid Bond payable to Grand Chute Sanitary District #3 in an amount not less than 10% of the maximum Bid as a guarantee that, if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the Contract, Performance/ Payment Bonds and Insurance Certification, as required by the Contract Documents, within 15-days after the Notice of Award. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities in bidding or to accept the Bid or Bids which best serves the interests of Grand Chute Sanitary District #3. No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 60-days after the scheduled opening without the consent of the Owner. The work includes: 1. Removing and replace concrete panels in the spillway 2. Concrete slab subgrade preparation 3. Controlled Low Strength Material (CLSM) or lean concrete fill 4. Coring panel ports and pumping CLSM or lean concrete 5. Site clearing & grubbing with tree removal. 6. Site restoration. A Proof Of Responsibility (PreQualification) Form for this Contract must be filed in the office of the Public Works not later than 4:00 p.m., October 9, 2020, and shall show sufficient ability, equipment and experience to properly perform the Contract. Grand Chute Sanitary District #3's decision as to qualifications shall be final. The Contract letting shall be subject to the provisions of Sections 66.0901, 66.0903 and 779.14 of the Wisconsin Statutes.
