The Village of Mingo Junction is seeking bids for their 2020 Resurfacing Program which will involve the milling and replacement as well as the overlay of asphalt pavement at several locations around the Village. Bids for the construction of the Project will be received by the Village Administrator located at 501 Commercial Street, Mingo Junction, OH 43938 until Thursday, 08/06/2020 01:00 PM at 1:00 P.M. local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 100 percent of Bidder s maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a certified check, bank money order, or a Bid bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of the Ohio Revised Code (ORC). The Project includes the following Work: The base bid shall include the milling and replacement of 2" of asphalt at: o Valuska Drive (W. Benita Drive to E. Benita Drive) o Logan Avenue (Legion Drive to Granitor Avenue) o Summit Avenue/E. Benita Drive (Summit Avenue to Valuska Drive via E. Benita Drive) Alternate prices are also requested for the following: o Additive Alternate 1 o 2" asphalt overlay at Penn Avenue (Covington Road to Lipphart Avenue) o Additive Alternate 2 o 2" asphalt overlay at Penn Avenue (Lipphart Avenue to Sands Avenue) o Additive Alternate 3 o 2" asphalt overlay at Penn Avenue (Sands Avenue to Riverview Avenue) o Additive Alternate 4 o Milling and replacement of 2" asphalt at Granitor Avenue (Logan Avenue to Western Avenue) o Additive Alternate 5 o Milling and replacement of 2" asphalt at Logan Avenue (5 Points to Brettell Avenue) o Additive Alternate 6 o 2" asphalt overlay at Gladys Avenue (Commercial Avenue to 2 nd Street) Bids are requested for the following Contract: 2020 Resurfacing Contract The Project has an expected duration of 60 days. Bidder accepts the provisions of the Agreement as to liquidated damages. A fee of $500.00 per day for each day beyond the contract completion date will be assessed for work that has not been completed.
