Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a transportation facility in Corvallis, Oregon. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; for paving for a transportation facility; and for outdoor lighting for a transportation facility.
**As of March 18, 2022 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award is not yet established. The general Base Bid Schedule improvements associated with this project include isolated pavement removal and asphalt overlay of Runway 17-35 (150 feet by 5,900 feet) and a new high intensity runway lighting (HIRL) system. Notable work elements include approximately: 32,000 SY of cold milling, 16,700 tons of asphalt, 9,000 SY of asphalt surface treatment, 83,000 SF of pavement markings, 5,600 SY of shoulder grindings placement, 10,000 LF of underground electrical conduit, 73 elevated runway lights and miscellaneous improvements inside the electrical equipment building. The primary objective for the Runway 17-35 Rehabilitation project is to achieve a maintenance overlay on the 150' x 5,900' runway asphalt wearing course. Rehabilitation will be accomplished by: o cold mill removal ofthe existing surface course to accomplish minor grade correction, o surface preparation ofthe existing pavement to be overlaid, o placing an engineered 2" nominal bituminous surface course, and o placing an asphalt surface treatment on existing asphalt adjacent to the overlay The Engineer's estimate is approximately $3,000,000. This is a public works contract subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870 and Davis-Bacon Act (40 U.S.C. 276a). All labor on the project shall be paid no less than the minimum wage rates established by the U.S. Secretary of labor, or the Oregon State Department of Labor and Industry, whichever is higher. The proposed project is subject to the following regulations: 1. Buy American preference requirements found in 49 USC 50101 2. All solicitations, contracts, and subcontracts resulting from projects funded under the AIP must contain the foreign trade restriction required by 49 CFR Part 30, Denial of Public Works Contracts to Suppliers of Goods and Services of Countries that Deny Procurement Market Access to U.S. Contractors. 3. To be eligible for award, each Bidder must comply with the affirmative action requirements which are contained in the Specifications including 41 CFR part 60 and Executive Order 11246. 4.
