Site work for a water / sewer project in New Haven, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The proposed project includes the cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining rehabilitation of approximately 4,740 feet of sewer mains of various sizes from 12" to 20"x30" sewer mains. A certified check or bid bond in the amount of fifteen percent (15%) of the total bid amount must accompany the bid. Said checks or bid bonds will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders upon Award of the Contract to the selected firm and execution of the Agreement. If any bid is not accompanied by a bid bond or check at the specified time for the bid opening, the incomplete bid will not be read, and this action will constitute automatic rejection of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a labor and materials payment bond in the form as attached to the Bid Documents for the amount of the total bid. A certified check cannot be substituted for either bond. The Greater New Haven Water Pollution Control Authority reserves the right to alter quantities and to accept or reject any or all bids or any portion of any bids, for any or no reason, including unavailability of appropriated funds as it may deem to be in its best interests. All bidders are to note that the award of this Contract is subject to the following conditions and contingencies: 1. The approval of such governmental agencies as may be required by law. 2. The appropriation of adequate funds by the proper agencies The Greater New Haven Water Pollution Control Authority manages, operates and maintains the wastewater treatment and collection system that serves the City of New Haven, and the Towns of East Haven, Hamden and Woodbridge, Connecticut. Contractor shall become familiar with all sections of the Greater New Haven Water Pollution Control Authority Standard Specifications dated September 2017 - General Provisions, and Technical Specifications. The Standard Specifications are hereby made a part of the Contract Documents. Any other Item of work not covered under the Technical Specifications, its design or installation shall conform to the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Roads, Bridges, Facilities and Incidental Construction, Form 817, as amended.
