The Project refreshes the public spaces of Welles-Turner Memorial Library to better serve the current and future needs of the growing Town of Glastonbury. The scope of the Project includes: Additional spaces and seats for co-working, and small group meetings. Addendum #1 & #2 have been issued. A central multi-use Commons space with movable furniture that may be re-arranged to seat an audience of over one hundred. Additional adult stack space and quiet reading areas. An enlarged Children's area with age - appropriate stack heights, daylight and access to a newly paved children's terrace. A young adult area furnished for small group, individual study, and technological collaboration with direct access to the Maker Space. A "maker space", housed in the first floor of the addition. A maker space is a community resource for sharing equipment and technological expertise.
