The project consists of installing approximately 2275' of 8" DIP and 61 service stubs and reconnects. Fire hydrants and other appurtenances as show on the plans are also included. LOCATION AND SCOPE OF WORK : The Project consists of one prime contract for construction of Brydon Road Water Main Replacement. Approximately 2,273' of 8" water main will be installed, with appurtenances. Sixty-One (61) water services will be restored. The Project is located on Brydon Road from State Route 48 (Far Hills) to Shroyer Road, in Kettering, Montgomery County, Ohio. The summary of the Work described in this Section is an overall summary of the responsibilities of the CONTRACTOR and the CONTRACTOR's relationship to the OWNER. It does not supersede the specific requirements of the other Contract Documents. In addition to the standards included in these Contract Documents, all work shall comply with the following: 1. Montgomery County Environmental Services Rules and Regulations, latest revision. 2. City of Kettering Specifications, as they apply. CONTRACTOR's attention is directed to the requirements of the Sections of Division 1 - General Requirements. These general requirements complement the related specific work specified in Division 2 through Division 16 although Division 1 Sections are not directly referenced in the Sections of Division 2 through Division 16. All requirements of Division 1 through Division 16 are binding on the CONTRACTOR and are not exclusive of each other. ENGINEER shall resolve all disputes and provide clarifications and interpretations as stated in Article 9 of the General Conditions. All Bids shall include the Bid Submittal Documents as defined in the Instructions to Bidders in Specification Section 00100. The County Commissioners reserve the rights defined in the Instructions to Bidders, including, but not limited to the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any irregularities of Bids, should same be to the advantage of the County.
