Jefferson Davis County, Mississippi has experienced damages due to a straight-line wind event occurring on April 22-23, 2020 resulting in widespread public services damage. The vegetation and other debris resulting from this devastating straight-line wind event overwhelms the existing resources of the Board of Supervisors of Jefferson Davis County (hereinafter "Board"). Accordingly, the Board is seeking a qualified Contractor (hereinafter "Contractor"), to perform the scope of work addressed in this Emergency Request for Proposals (RFP). All proposals must be properly certified by the entity bidding for the work and signed by an officer, director or owner that has authority to bind and commit the Contractor to perform said work and services. The purpose of this contract is to remove and dispose of all eligible debris from Jefferson Davis County Rights-of-Way (ROW), as well as, County owned property. Private Right of Way Access or Right of Entry (ROE) may be part of this project. However, if the County, State, MEMA, or FEMA authorizes ROE, it will become part of this project. The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, with or without cause, to waive technicalities, or to accept the proposal which, in its sole judgment, best serves the interest of Jefferson Davis County, or to award a contract to the next most qualified proposer if a successful proposer does not execute a contract within five (5) days after approval of the selection of the Board. The Board reserves the right to cancel this solicitation at any time prior to approval of the award by the Board. The Board reserves the right to request clarification of information submitted and to request additional information from any or all proposers.
