The work for which bids are to be received consists of: Construction of improvements to the existing Daylight South Sanitary Lift Station at 12240 Highway 57. Work includes but is not limited to replacement of the existing pumps and appurtenances, architectural improvements to the existing building, replacement of a portion of the force main outside the station, installation of a backup generator, and bypass pumping. Work shall also include all supervision, equipment, materials and labor, temporary erosion control, clearing and grubbing, traffic control, bypass pumping, all testing, granular backfill, flowable fill, pavement restoration final grading and seeding and all appurtenances necessary to complete the work shown in the drawings and specifications. All work must be ready for satisfactory and continuous operation, in accordance with the plan and specifications. The above referenced project description includes items that are part of the Itemized Base Bid. The Contractor shall be responsible for all work shown on the plans and described in the specifications pertaining to the Itemized Base Bid, regardless of the installation method chosen. Bid Security - acceptable Bidder's bond or certified check in the amount of not less than 5% of the total Bid price.
