This Project involves construction of a FOG handling facility at the Nansemond Treatment Plant, which includes installation of an HRSD pre-purchased packaged system inside of a new building as well as the supporting facilities for screening and decanting trucked FOG. The work includes grading and earthwork, excavation, and installation of rigid inclusions, reinforced concrete pads, a prefabricated building, wet wells, above ground tanks, a packaged system, pumps, piping and electrical components. A Bid Bond in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid shall be submitted electronically with each Bid. This project is being funded in part under the Virginia Clean Water Revolving Loan Fund (VCWRLF). Bidders shall comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246 (Prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex or national origin), No. 12138 and No. 11625 (Regarding MBE/WBE utilization). Bidders shall also comply with the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Bidders must certify that they do not and will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on basis of race, color, creed or national origin.
