The City of Hartford is soliciting bids for the Citywide Communications Upgrade, State Project 63-717, Federal Aid Project No. H025(003). This project includes a Base bid and three Bid Alternates. State Project 63-717/Federal Aid Project No. H025(003) Citywide Communication Upgrade includes an upgrade of communication at Citywide traffic control signals with the installation of new equipment in the controller cabinets. The Base Bid includes 39 intersections, Bid Alternate No. 1 includes 9 intersections, Bid Alternate No. 2 includes 10 intersections and Bid Alternate No. 3 includes 14 intersections. The project includes the upgrading of existing Type 170 and Type 2070 controllers and cabinets, the installation, configuration, and testing of new DSL modems and associated devices, and configuration of these intersections into an existing ATMS central system as well as a central network managment system that will facilitate the commissioning, testing, maintenance, and ongoing performance monitoring of the new IP network.
