The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is seeking to engage a Construction Manager to execute a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) contract for preconstruction services and construction of the subject project. State Project No. 0401-0016: CTtransit Hartford Roof Replacement & Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Upgrade Hartford, CT The project scope will include but not be limited to the partial roof replacement of the CTtransit Hartford Building (230,000 square feet (sf) of the 350,000 sf building). The existing rooftop heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) mechanical equipment is to be replaced and skylights removed. Possible extensive structural repairs are required to the roof. The facility supports 24/7 operations and will therefore require careful staging and temporary space for critical administrative functions. The Administrative office section of the building is to be renovated as well with new windows, insulation, HVAC, etc. as needed.
