On behalf of the Ranchman-Terrell Irrigation Ditch Association, San Juan SWCD is soliciting bids TB 20-21-002 Ranchman-Terrell Irrigation Ditch Improvements. Construction of a new heading structure, piping of 2390 ft of the ditch, and relocation of a concrete flume structure at Flora Vista, NM. This project will improve water availability for the users of the Ranchmans-Terrell irrigation ditch. Project location is in the Animas River on the West side of the County Road 350 bridge in Flora Vista, NM. The Ranchmans-Terrell irrigation ditch is currently maintained with a cobble push-up dam that has to be rebuilt several times per year to maintain head to the ditch. The cobble push-up dam is being replaced with a large rock cross vane structure (advertised in ITB 20-21-001) which will alleviate this problem and allow year-round access of the ditch association to their adjudicated right, without disturbing the channel 3-5 times per year. The work shall consist of furnishing and installing thermoplastic pipe and necessary appurtenances to the alignment, grades, and dimensions as shown on the drawings and/or staked in the field. The work also includes site preparation, earth fill, excavation, and any other applicable practice necessary for installation as shown on the drawings. This specification only applies to pipelines 4 inches or larger in diameter and used as part of an irrigation system. Unless otherwise specified, the pipe shall conform to the requirements listed in this specification, NRCS Standard 430, and the requirements shown on the drawings.
