Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Smoky Lake County, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.

Standard Bridge & Culvert Repair and other work at: BF 09915, SW Sec 33 Twp 59. Rg 16 W4m, White Earth Creek BF 09975, NE Sec 31 Twp 58, Rge 19 W4M. Beaverhill Creek BF 79429, NW Sec 6 Twp 60 Rge 13 W4M, Tributary to Stony Creek. BF 09915 The existing bridge consists of a 6.4 m wide, 20.7 m long, 3 span (6.1 m - 8.5 m - 6.1 m), precast concrete (type HC) girder bridge on a standard timber treated substructure. The structure is installed square to the roadway. The scope of work for this project includes but is not limited to, the following: Mobilization and demobilization Traffic accommodation (local detour) Removal and disposal of existing bridge debris material Structural excavation behind abutment backwalls to facilitate removal of girders and caps Removal, salvage and replacement of backwall sheeting required for timber cap access Girder removal and re-installation (24) Pile repairs (2) P1P5 (South Pier 1, Pile 5) P2P5 (North Pier 2, Pile 5) Replace timber pile caps (2 piers and 2 abutments) Backfill to restore abutment backwalls - crushed aggregate Replace guardrail section Roadway work to restore to existing condition Temporary access berm (if required) Fish capture and release (if required) Turbidity monitoring (if required) Site clean-up and restoration BF 09975 The existing culvert consists of 2 1220 mm diameter corrugated steel pipes, with invert lengths of 24 m (Active) and 15.2 m (Relief), installed with a 10 LHF skew to the roadway. The scope of work for this project includes but is not limited to, the following: Mobilization and demobilization Traffic accommodation Removal and disposal of existing debris material Steel struts supply and install Grout injection - behind culvert walls in voids Backfill scour holes at inlet and outlet Supply and install heavy rock riprap (Class 1 and non-woven geotextile) to create apron at outlet Supply and install beaver control devices Supply and installation of erosion control (Straw rolls) Temporary access berms (if required) Fish capture and release (if required) Site clean-up and restoration BF 79429 The existing culvert consists of 1 1600 mm diameter corrugated steel pipe with an invert length of 17 meters, installed with a 15 RHF skew to the roadway The scope of work for this project includes but is not limited to, the following: Mobilization and demobilization Traffic accommodation (local detour) Temporary access berms, as required Excavation CSP bevel end - removal and replacement at upstream end Steel struts supply and install Grout injection - behind culvert walls in voids. Granular backfill of Scour hole Supply and Installation of heavy rock riprap apron (Class 1 and non-woven geotextile) Supply and install beaver control devices Roadway work to restore to existing condition Supply and installation of erosion control (Straw rolls) Temporary access berms (if required) Fish capture and release (if required) Site clean-up and restoration Bid values not released for publication.
