**As of November 23, 2020, the project has not yet been awarded and is currently under evaluation. A timeline for award is not yet determined. Replace and upgrade Rockwood Generating Station Pratt & Whitney FT4C-3F Gas Turbine Unit 1 and Unit 2 controls system located at 4195 Dogwood Road, Brawley CA 92227.The existing gas turbine control system devices are old, obsolete and in some cases are difficult to adjust, or repair. Additionally, circuit boards are not supported by the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM).The new turbine controls must incorporate all the control functions currently performed including firing, acceleration and smooth entry into speed governing with bump-less transfer between control regimes, shutdown and cool down functions by the existing system with the addition of new features that will enhance the reliability, availability and maintainability of the Rockwood gas turbines. IID is requesting new turbine controls be completed in December 2020. Owner is a full service power utility providing generation, transmission, and distribution services to its customers. The Owner owned and operated generation facilities consist of hydro generators, steam generators, gas turbines generators, and a combined-cycle generator. Owner desires to replace Rockwood existing mechanical controls and generator protection.
