Program of phased upgrades and renovations of the Place des Nations of Jean-Drapeau Park in Montreal. The scope of the project includes the development of the riverside promenade including a multi-use path for cycling and hiking, development of access to emergency and maintenance vehicles, improvement of existing belvederes to allow users to have access to the river, rehabilitation of paths for direct access to water, development of spaces under the Concorde bridge including construction of a public square, improvement of the Lac des Cygnes area including rehabilitation of the banks, construction of a green screen between the lake and Espace 67, rehabilitation of the waterfall, improvement of the surroundings of the Place des Nations including the creation of several entry points to access the Place des Nations from the promenade, development of the Place des Nations including the restoration of the concrete structure of six buildings, terraces, walls, redevelopment of the water basins and the fountains, renovation of the interior premises. TIMELINE: The owner is implementing the project by construction packages. First package of the first construction phase has been already tendered, awarded and is followed in the report under CRM ID name Engineering Work for Securing the Place des Nations - Lot 1. Tenders for subsequent construction packages with be followed if/when they are issued in new separate reports.
