The work to be done consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals as required by the Plans (Drawing Number 1137, Sheets 1 through 3), and Contract Documents. The general items of work include the removal of existing Asphalt and reconstruct with Permeable pavement with 3" heavy duty paver stone per plan and construct Alley intersection at Alt Canyada Road entrance, 3' wide longitudinal gutter, base material, native including 6" perforated pipe under gutter to be connected to existing 36" RCP pipe; landscaping and irrigation system; and other items not mentioned that are required by the Plans and Specifications. Clean up and leave in an operable and acceptable condition all of the work and other items not mentioned that are required by the Plans and Specifications. ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE BID: $160,000 - $220,000 The work shall commence within fifteen (15) calendar day after the date set forth in the -Notice of Proceed.- All work shall be completed in its entirety within thirty (30) working days from said date. Each bid shall be made on the proposal form furnished by the City and shall be in accordance with the Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents and shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bidder's bond, payable to the City in a sum not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the contract for the work, the full amount of such guarantee to be forfeited to the City should said bidder fail to enter into said Contract. The A-2 successful bidder will be required to furnish a Faithful Performance Bond in the amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, and a Labor and Material Bond in an amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, said bonds to be underwritten by sureties qualified to do business in the State of California, preferably carrying a rating of A or better, in the current edition of Bests Insurance Guide. Contractors and Subcontractors wishing to work on a public works project must be registered with the State of California, Department of Industrial Relations. All public works projects with bids submitted after March 1, 2015, or awarded on or after April 1, 2015, shall use only registered contractors and subcontractors. No bid will be accepted, nor any contract entered into without proof of the Bidder's and its subcontractors' current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations. If awarded a contract, the Bidder and its subcontractors of every tier shall maintain active registration with the Department of Industrial Relations for the duration of the Project.
