ENGINEERS ESTIMATE BID: $25000 - $30,000 All bidders shall be licensed in accordance with provisions of the Business and Professions Code and shall possess a State Contractors license, Class A or C8, at the time of bid submittal. The successful Contractor and his subcontractors will be required to possess business licenses from the City. PRE-BID MEETING. There is no pre-bid meeting for this project. Each bid shall be made on the proposal form furnished by the City and shall be in accordance with the Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents and shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bidder's bond, payable to the City in a sum not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the contract for the work, the full amount of such guarantee to be forfeited to the City should said bidder fail to enter into said Contract. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Faithful Performance Bond in the amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, and a Labor and Material Bond in an amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, said bonds to be underwritten by sureties qualified to do business in the State of California, preferably carrying a rating of A or better, in the current edition of Bests Insurance Guide The work to be done consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals as required by the Plan (Drawing number 1143, sheet 1-2), and Contract Documents. The general items of work include remove the existing striping; cold mill existing pavement 2" deep; construct 2" asphalt pavement and furnish and install wheel stop. Installation of traffic striping, legend, and marking, ADA signage and post that are required by the Plans and Specifications. Clean up and leave in an operable and acceptable condition all the work and other items not mentioned that are required by the Plans and Specifications.
