The project includes providing, when directed by Construction Order, labor, materials and equipment or services, construction equipment, and hauling of construction equipment for construction for levee repairs. Tasks related to levee repairs include the following: a. Mobilization and demobilization. b. Developing staging areas as needed. c. Temporary fencing around all work sites and staging areas, and turbidity curtains for sites requiring in-water construction. d. Exclusionary fencing around trees and other vegetation, including padding around the trunks of trees. e. Traffic control and flagging for public safety. f. Installing and maintaining traffic detours in accordance with detour plans as required. g. Tree removal from the site, including removing stump and roots, and providing certified arborist for tree trimming and branch removal. h. Clearing and grubbing. i. Excavation and backfilling, and disposal of excavated material. j. Geotextile fabric, rockfill, and launch rock material. k. Earthfill. l. Agricultural soil on finished slopes and in voids in rockfill to form soil-filled rockfill. m. Seeding and erosion control fabric placement. n. Pole cuttings. 2. Various levee repair sites will require specialty equipment such as a bargemounted crane for excavation of soil and placement of rock. 3. The Contractor shall be responsible for any grading, rut removal, or other surface improvements required on levee crown roads or farm roads required to facilitate its hauling operation. 4. The extent of the project will be as determined by the Engineer, and the actual amount of work required will be only as directed.
