The Province requires the services of a company with experience in lead abatement and lead-based paint encapsulation with clear coating products. The proponents should have experience on application of preventive coatings on pipes, tanks, and metallic building envelops at industrial sites. The project also aims to extend the serviceable life of the historic roofs, tanks, and pipes. The intent is to mitigate hazards and obtaining the maximum preservation of original fabric by applying a clear coat lead-paint encapsulant and help slow down further deterioration.
