New Salem Street Culvert Replacement Base Bid: replace 470'corrugated metal culvert with a new 4' wide by 3' deep reinforced concrete rectangular culvert; headwalls; helical pile foundation for the culvert and headwalls; dewatering; stream bypass; removal of approximately 60CY of sediment at the outlet of the culvert; removal of sediment within the existing culvert; trench paving; and appurtenances. Additive Alternate A: repair Preston St Culvert Outlet Headwall and 340' of structural liner for the Preston St Culvert, and appurtenances. Additive Alternate B: the replacement of the drainage system on New Salem Street, including new manholes, deep sump catch basins, trench paving, and appurtenances. The Work under Base Bid of this Contract includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the replacement of a 470-foot corrugated metal culvert with a new 4-foot wide by 3-foot deep reinforced concrete rectangular culvert, including headwalls, helical pile foundation for the culvert and headwalls, dewatering, stream bypass, and disposal of the existing culvert. The work also includes removal of approximately 60-cubic yards of sediment at the outlet of the culvert, removal of sediment within the existing culvert, trench paving, and all appurtenances and incidental work necessary to complete the construction. Additive Alternate A work includes the repair of the downstream Preston Street Culvert Headwall and 340-feet of structural liner for the Preston Street Culvert, and all appurtenances and incidental work necessary to complete the construction.
