Demolition, site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Wakefield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Replacement of a 47-ft diameter, 50-ft height riveted steel water storage tank with a new 47.56-ft diameter, 51.34-ft height glass-fused-to-steel water storage tank including inlet and outlet piping, tank appurtenances, mixing system, prefabricated sampling shed, site work, disposal of lead impacted soils and disposal of the existing tank. The work also includes replacement of approximately 1,000 linear feet of 16-inch and 20-inch transmission water main including all appurtenances and incidental work necessary to complete the construction. Bidders are urged to communicate all errors and discrepancies found in the Bid and Contract Documents to the Engineer. Telephone calls pointing out any such error or discrepancies will be taken by the Engineer but only for the purpose of receiving the information in order that it may be properly processed, and not for interpretation or clarification.
