In general the work consists of: the replacement of existing 5 kV ITE circuit breakers with new ABB replacement 5 kV retrofit circuit breakers including conversion of the 120V ac power for charging to dc power fed from the dc plant battery system. This project involves the the replacement of existing 5 kV ITE circuit breakers with new ABB 10 replacement 5 kV retrofit circuit breakers including conversion of the 120V ac power for 11 charging to dc power fed from the dc plant battery system. This includes supply, installation, 12 and commissioning of the replacement circuit breakers. ABB Roll-In-Replacement (RIR) AMVAC 5VHK 250 1200A circuit. A bid bond prepared on the Bid Bond Form bound herein, payable to the State in the amount not less than 10% of the maximum bid shall accompany each bid as a guarantee. A bank certified check or a cashier's check may accompany each bid as a guarantee pursuant to Wis. Stat. s. 779.14(1m)(c)2.b. and 779.14(1s). Failure to enter into the contract with the state (including failure to obtain certificate of insurance and separate 100% performance and 100% payment bonds) may result in forfeiture of the Bid Bond. All bids received from contractors 22 who are not certified will be rejected. These changes take effect January 1, 2014. The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements. Failure to visit the site or failure to examine any and all Contract Documents will in no way relieve the successful contractor from necessity of furnishing any materials or equipment, or performing any work, that may be required to complete the work in accordance with the Contract Documents. DFD reserves the right to reject the bid if evidence submitted by, or investigation of, the bidding firm fails to satisfy DFD that the firm is deemed responsible and qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract and fully complete all the work described in these bidding documents.
