The City of Sierra will accept competitive bids from qualified contractors to improve Coronado Drive between Fry Blvd and Moorman Ave/Martin Luther King Parkway, located in Sierra Vista Arizona. The project will involve the removal of a 13-inch pavement structural section, reconstruction, of 3-inch Asphaltic Concrete over 10" Aggregate Base Course pavement, Tie-in sections at the intersection, pavement striping, symbols, and raised pavement markers; utility frame adjustments to the new pavement grade, and the restoration of existing survey monuments. This maintenance project will consist of tasks necessary to improve Coronado Drive between Fry Blvd and Moorman Ave/Martin Luther King Parkway; located within the City of Sierra Vista Arizona (See map with construction plans). The project will involve the removal of a 13-inch pavement structural section (including base, and possibly sub base) on Coronado Drive. It is noted that existing materials scheduled for removal cannot be reused or recycled for use on this project. The new pavement section will be reconstructed of 3-inch Asphaltic Concrete over 10" Aggregate Base Course pavement, and match the existing slopes and grades currently present, and all existing curb and gutter grades shall be met. (see typical street cross section in plans). Tie-in sections at the intersection of Coronado Drive/Moorman Ave/Martin Luther King Parkway will include the removal of approx. 3" of existing Asphaltic Concrete pavement (Aggregate Base Course will remain) north, south, and east of the intersection. This section will be replaced with new 3-inch asphaltic concrete pavement, matching all existing grades and elevations. Additional work anticipated will include pavement striping, symbols, and raised pavement markers; utility frame adjustments to the new pavement grade, and the restoration of existing survey monuments. The Contractor will be responsible to notify local adjacent and nearby businesses. It shall be the Contractor's responsibility to complete the work specified here within and supply any incidental services or accessories necessary to make the work complete and perfect in all respects and ready for operation. Any apparatus, appliance, material, or work not mentioned in the Specifications, or vice versa, or any incidental appurtenances necessary for the system to operate as to the intent of these Specifications, even if not particularly specified, shall be included in the bid price and furnished, delivered, and installed by the Contractor without additional expense to the City of Sierra Vista.
