Site work and renovation of a civil project in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The project entails upgrading two submersible duplex sewage pump stations owned and operated by the Hamilton County Water & Wastewater Treatment Authority (WWTA) and includes the following work elements at each station: Removal of the existing pumps and installation of two new owner-supplied pumps; modifications to existing control panel (at each station); installation of new flow meter manhole/vaults, removal/modifications to existing piping configuration and installation of new piping and fittings; miscellaneous electrical work; and other miscellaneous demolition tasks and improvements. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish acceptable Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, each bond. Hamilton County will not provide a conference room/meeting space or equipment such as computer access or telephones for interested parties to participate in bid openings. All conference call attendees will be asked to provide name, company, and phone number for each bid opening attended. To make thesize of any call more manageable, vendors with multiple representatives are asked to call in from one (1) line only. After introductions, caller phone lines will be muted during the reading of the bids, but will be unmuted to allow questions after all bids have been read. Preliminary pricing will be read aloud for any vendor submission received prior to the listed deadline, with each vendor identified by name. Official Notification of Award, including bid tab, will be released once the solicitation has gone through evaluation and recommendation of award. The allotted time for construction is 60 calendar days. All questions shall be submitted in writing and shall be directed to CTI Engineers, Inc. No bids will be received or accepted after the above specified time and will be deemed invalid and returned unopened to the bidder. All bidders must be licensed contractors as required by the Contractor's Licensing Act of 1994 of the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee and all acts amendatory thereof for Municipal and Utility Construction (MU), Classification A: Underground Piping in accordance with Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 62, Chapter 6, and must be able to show proof of such license and classification. The Contractor shall comply with all state, federal, and local laws and/or regulations. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.O. 11246. No Bid may be withdrawn within (60) days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids. Hamilton County Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) procedures will be part of bid evaluation.
