Construction of Snow Hill Road / Roy Lane Force Main Repairs: Phase 1 that consists of replacing approximately: 650 linear feet (LF) of 8-inch Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP) with 8-inch C900 DR-14 pipe at an approximate depth between 3 and 4 feet; repaving of approximately 300 linear feet (LF) class B concrete; connecting to the existing force main on both ends; and clearing the easement work area. The scope of the project will include all by pass pumping, pipe preparation, the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment, tools, supervision, incidental, and any other items necessary or convenient to satisfactorily complete the construction. Preliminary pricing will be read aloud for any vendor submission received prior to the listed deadline, with each vendor identified by name. Official Notification of Award, including bid tab, will be released once the solicitation has gone through evaluation and recommendation of award. The allotted time for construction is 45 calendar days. Hamilton County Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) procedures will be part of bid evaluation. The successful bidder will be required to furnish acceptable Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, each bond.
