It is scheduled to be awarded on March 7, 2022.** The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as required in the Plans, Specifications and Contract documents for said project. The work will take place on Redondo Beach Blvd from Artesia Boulevard to Prairie Avenue. The scope of work consists of edge milling of existing pavement, 4" of cold-in-place-recycling, 1-1/2" to 2" asphalt rubber hot mix (ARHM) overlay, removal and reconstruction of damaged PCC sidewalk, curb and gutter, cross gutters, local depressions, driveway approaches, added medians, future irrigation conduit installation, ADA curb ramps; utility adjustments, reconnecting existing curb drains, installation of new water meter, traffic loop replacement, replace traffic signing, thermoplastic striping and pavement markings; traffic control , installation of bicycle lane, and all appurtenant work. Contractor shall dispose the removal material to a legal dump-site. The project also include remove and replace of ADA non-compliance per plans and SPPWC Std, plan, and other related work as described in the Specifications and Contract Documents, by reference, made a part hereof. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Bids must be accompanied by cash, or by cashier's or certified check made payable to the City of Lawndale, or by a bid bond executed by an admitted surety insurer on the bond form provided herein, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of bid price, made payable to the City of Lawndale as a guarantee that the bidder, whose bid is accepted, will promptly execute the contract, secure payment of workers' compensation insurance, and furnish a satisfactory faithful performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price and a payment bond (labor and material bond) in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price which complies with all of the requirements of Civil Code Section 9554. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: Liquidated damages of $l,000/day will apply to this project.
