Site work and paving for a road / highway in Daly City, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The work includes the removal of existing thermoplastic striping and markings, crack sealing, asphalt concrete deep-lift repairs, street cleaning, application of slurry seal, and installation of thermoplastic striping and markings. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cash, certified or cashier's check payable to City of Daly City, in an amount not less than 10% of the aggregate bid. Questions should be directed to the office of the City Engineer, attention Dave Rogers, Project Manager, 333- 90th Street, Daly City, California 94015, telephone (650) 991-8064, Fax (650) 991-8243. A valid Class A license or other combination of any Class C licenses that constitutes a majority of the contract work must be in the possession of the successful bidder at the time the bid is submitted. The time limit for the completion of work is sixty (60) working days. The first day of this time period will be no later than the 28th calendar day after the contract award. In accordance with the California Labor Code, general prevailing hourly rates of per diem wages shall be paid on this project. Copies of applicable prevailing hourly rates of per diem wages are available on request to the City Enginee Due to the passage of Senate Bill 854, several additions and revisions were made to the California Labor Code. The addition of Labor Code 1725.5 requires all contractors and subcontractors to register with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) to be eligible to work on public works projects. At the time the bid is submitted the Contractor and all subcontractors must be registered with the DIR in accordance with the California Labor Code to be eligible for the project. California Labor Code Section 1771.1. (a) A contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. It is not a violation of this section for an unregistered contractor to submit a bid that is authorized by Section 7029.1 of the Business and Professions Code or by Section 10164 or 20103.5 of the Public Contract Code, provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in such bids and, if awarded, to award the contract in the best interest of the City
