Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Daly City, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
**As of March 10, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The work includes traffic control, potholing, sawcutting, removal, disposal, and reconstruction of AC roadway sections, removal and reconstruction of concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, and curb ramps, removal and reconstruction of storm drain catch basin with connections, installation of bio-retention planters within the sidewalk, installation of subdrain system, installation of decorative railing, replacement of sanitary sewer manhole frame and cover, replacement of utility boxes, removal and application of pavement striping and markings, installation of pedestrian safety markers, speed bumps, and painted bulb-outs, and other work as shown on the plans or as specified in the specifications. Please present a hard copy of pages 00300(1) through 00490, with original wet signatures, to the City Clerk's office if you will be submitting a bid. California Labor Code Section 1771.1. (a) A contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. It is not a violation of this section for an unregistered contractor to submit a bid that is authorized by Section 7029.1 of the Business and Professions Code or by Section 10164 or 20103.5 of the Public Contract Code, provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded. Pursuant to the California Public Contract Code, securities may be substituted for money withheld to insure contract performance. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in such bids and, if awarded, to award the contract in the best interest of the City.
